Drinking Water Advisory update - Sept. 30
By Staff Reports, 366th Fighter Wing Public Affairs / Published September 30, 2016
MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho --
Last Friday, Sept 23, the well that tested positive for levels of PFCs higher than the EPA health advisory limit was shut off.
As of last Sunday, Sept 25, the contaminated water has completely left the water distribution system. We believe the water flowing to the affected areas of base is safe to use and consume.
We will continue to provide bottled water to pregnant or lactating mothers, or those who use water for infant formulas until we have received confirmed testing results on Oct 14.
