MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho --
MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho - The 366th Force Support Squadron held a grand opening of the Gunfighter Greens Mini Golf Course here May 26.
Col. David Iverson, 366th Fighter Wing commander, ceremoniously cut the ribbon, officially opening the course to the public.
"This is another example of the great work the Force Support Squadron is doing," Iverson said.
Construction started September 2014 as a self-help project with a crew consisting of Bowling Center staff.
The course, located behind the Bowling Center, is base-themed with obstacles representing the front gate, water tower, hanger 211 and the aircraft control tower.
"The Gunfighter Greens Mini Golf course ... increases morale among airmen and their families and provides a leisure activity that does not otherwise exist locally," said Jacie Barach, 366th FSS marketing assistant.
