MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho --
Base officials and the Bureau of Land Management are preparing an environmental assessment addressing the construction of a waterline from the Snake River to Mountain Home AFB.
In addition to the waterline, a water treatment plant would be constructed to provide potable water to the base. Base civil engineers state this proposal is needed to ensure the base maintains an adequate and sustainable water supply. The project is proposed to be located primarily on BLM‐managed lands.
A public scoping meeting will be held at the City of Mountain Home Public Library Jan. 17 from 4 – 6 p.m.
