December discipline and administrative actions

MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- The following captures disciplinary and administrative actions across the 366th Fighter Wing for December 2016:

Courts-Martial:
- A staff sergeant was found guilty at a special court-martial of assault consummated by battery of his wife, and of dragging his family’s dog, in violation of Articles 128 and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice. The member was sentenced to a reduction to E-4 and 30 days hard labor without confinement.

Article 15s:
- A senior airman received an Article 15 for wrongfully using marijuana. The member was punished with a reduction in rank to E-3, and a reprimand for violating Article 112a, UCMJ, wrongful use of marijuana.

- A senior airman received an Article 15 for wrongfully using marijuana. The member was punished with a reduction in rank to E-3, and a reprimand for violating Article 112a, UCMJ, wrongful use of marijuana.

- A master sergeant received an Article 15 for inappropriately touching another member without consent of the member. The member was punished with a reduction to E-6, and a reprimand for violating Article 120, UCMJ, abusive sexual contact.

- An airman first class received an Article 15 for not reporting to the member’s required place of duty. The member was punished with a reduction to E-2, 10 days extra duty, and a reprimand for violating Article 86, UCMJ, Absent without leave (AWOL).

- A senior airman received an Article 15 for not reporting to the member’s required place of duty. The member was punished with a suspended reduction to E-3, 10 days extra duty, and a reprimand for violating Article 86, UCMJ, failure to go.

- A senior airman received an Article 15 for altering information in the member’s own medical record. The member was punished with a suspended reduction to E-3 and a reprimand for violating Article 92, UCMJ, dereliction of duty.

Administrative Discharges:
- A staff sergeant was discharged for commission of a serious offense (wrongfully photographing the private area of an individual without consent and unlawfully touching the buttocks of the individual). Member received an under-other-than-honorable-conditions discharge, depriving the member of G.I. Bill and most veterans’ benefits.

- A staff sergeant was discharged for drug abuse (wrongful use of marijuana). Member received an under-honorable-conditions (general) discharge, depriving him of G.I. Bill benefits.

- An airman was discharged for civilian conviction (arrested for soliciting a minor under 16 years of age to participate in a sexual act and enticement). The member pled guilty to felony injury to a child. The member was sentenced to confinement with the State of Idaho Board of Correction for an aggregate term of six years; with the first two years of the term to be fixed, and with the remaining four years of the term to be indeterminate.

- An airman first class was discharged for drug abuse (wrongful use of marijuana). Member received an under-honorable-conditions (general) discharge, depriving him of G.I. Bill benefits.
