MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- Airmen from the 366th Fighter Wing will test their mettle in the largest military softball tournament in Colorado Springs, Colorado, June 12-14.

The 25th Annual Bandaid Softball Tournament is open to all branches of the military with a record number of teams already signed up.

"It's our first time competing in this tournament," said Tech. Sgt. Matthew Turner, coach of the Mountain Home Gunfighters. "We want to show the young guys what Air Force sports are all about."

The team will face-off against Francis E. Warren Air Force Base their first game of the tournament.

Mountain Home Gunfighters softball team is comprised of personnel from various squadrons around the base.

The Gunfighters recently competed in the Cinco De Mayo Tournament held in Caldwell, Idaho, and came out victorious.

"We started off with a loss and came up from the loser's bracket to win it," said Turner. "The team showed a lot of heart, and the young guys stepped up."

Coming off of a successful tournament in Idaho, the Gunfighters look to triumph in Colorado.

"We are representing the base, so our primary goal is to go in and win!" said Master Sgt. Joshua Skarloken, member of the Mountain Home Gunfighters softball team.
