Warrior of the Week - Senior Airman Donovan Wall

  • Published

Senior Airman Donovan Wall

Unit and occupation: Contract specialist with the 366th Contracting Squadron

Time in service: Three years and seven months

Time at Mountain Home: Five months

Hometown: Denver

What service do you provide to Gunfighters? I currently work on the library, orthopedic and Battlelab contracts."

Hobbies: "My two children! But when I do get free time, I like to tinker with my reef aquarium, play sports and go camping."

Most memorable Air Force moment: "When I was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., working as an air traffic controller, I got the opportunity to work the First Lady's aircraft in for approach. It was completely routine, but so high profile it attracted everyone's attention and I had about 10 people hovering over me. It is neat to say, 'I controlled the First Lady's plane.' Maybe it will be a story I can tell my grandchildren one day."

What is an interesting fact about yourself? "I'm an Eagle Scout."

Why does Airman Wall deserve to be nominated as a warrior of the week? "Airman Wall has stepped up in the Contracting Squadron to administer some key service contracts that support his fellow Gunfighters. He is being groomed as a lead buyer on out challenging Battlelab projects - a job normally reserved for more senior technicians."
