What service do you provide to Gunfighters? "I provide Gunfighter aircrews with top notch primary training range for weapons delivery and electronic combat training in our own 'back yard.' I'm continuously working on improvements to better serve combat aircrews air-to-ground training needs of today and in the future."

Hobbies: The sergeant enjoys family oriented outdoor activities like camping, hiking and fishing. He's also an avid elk hunter.

Most memorable Air Force moment: The sergeant's selection to deploy with the squadron to a Maple Flag exercise at in Cold Lake, Canada. "This was the largest Maple Flag international air combat exercise to date," he said. "I led threat emitter crews from the 266th Range Squadron and worked side-by-side with the Maple Flag staff and Canadian forces, providing ground-based air defense simulations to strike packages of more than 90 aircraft twice a day. It was just an incredible experience and gave me a profound sense of camaraderie and team accomplishment."

Interesting personal fact: The sergeant was crowned the "King of Reggae" during a Reggae night dance contest at a Sandals resort in Jamaica in January.

Why does Master Sgt. Daniel Toenjes deserve to be selected as a warrior of the week? "Sergeant Toenjes has devoted a major part of his military career supplying aircrews with the best electronic combat training possible on Mountain Home Range Complex and at deployed locations."
