(Editor's note: This is the second installment in a series of fitness articles that will run throughout the month of May in conjunction with Air Force Fitness Month.)

May kicks off Air Force Fitness Month, and with the Air Force's high operations tempo, being and staying fit should be a concern of every Airman.

The Gunfighter Fitness Center offers fitness classes almost everyday to help Airmen of every fitness level.

"All of our aerobic classes are taught by volunteers and our fitness center staff," said Senior Airman Monique Brown, 366th Services Squadron fitness supervisor

Circuit training: A highly motivating class, designed to improve various components of fitness using a combination of lap running, toning and sculpting stations

Burn fat fast and body burn: A challenging, high energy cardiovascular workout concluding with abdominal work and stretching at the end of class

Power yoga: A form of yoga with an accelerated succession of yoga body postures

Spinning: A great cardiovascular workout that concentrates on target heart zones using indoor spinners

Turbo Kick: A high-paced cardio kick-boxing class

Buns and abs express: A fun class targeting your mid-section, hips, thighs and buttocks
The fitness center is open from 4:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Fitness center patrons attending classes, between the ages of 13 to 15, must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Children under the age of 13 are not allowed to attend these classes.
