  • Published
Officials with the 366th Mission Support Squadron recently named the following people as their Warriors of the Week.

2nd Lt. Craig M. Buehrig

Unit and duty title: 366th MSS career development officer in charge

Time in Air Force: Seven months

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: Five months

Hometown: Florence, Ore.

Hobbies: I enjoy playing the guitar, traveling and camping

What service does Lieutenant Buehrig provide to the Gunfighters? "I oversee the promotions, testing, separations, formal training, reenlistments and outbound assignments for the base."

Most memorable Air Force moment: "Thanksgiving 2007 with my flight mates at my flight commander's home. It was surprisingly fun and the food was great."

Interesting personal fact: I've been around the world.

Why does Lieutenant Buehrig deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Lieutenant Buehrig has been at Mountain Home a short time, but has already made a positive impact wing-wide. He quickly mastered the roll of OIC of personnel deployment and successfully deployed more than 600 Gunfighters. Additionally, his peers recognized his leadership capability and selected him as vice president of the Company Grade Officers' Council. He's doing an outstanding job leading the career development section and is on the track to do great things for the Air Force."

Airman 1st Class Elizabeth E. Ryder

Unit and duty title: 366th MSS force management representative

Time in Air Force: 16 months

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: One month

Hometown: Buffalo, N.Y.

Hobbies: I enjoy skiing, fashion/design, cross country running, hockey (both playing and watching) and decorating.

What service does Airman Ryder provide to the Gunfighters? "I order, track and update the enlisted and officer performance reports for more than 4,000 base personnel. I also maintain the military personnel data system and case management system for evaluations and update duty titles, change of rater requests and order or distribute evaluation notices on a daily basis."

Most memorable Air Force moment: "My most memorable Air Force moment would have to be when I was coined by Col. Gregory Touhill, the wing commander at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss., for being a part of a 2,879 Unit Personnel Record Group audit. It was memorable because I had been in the Air Force for only four months and was being recognized for the hard work and long hours I put in as a new Airman. I will never forget the time spent after work and on Saturdays with my shop to get the audit done. We worked hard, but also had a lot of fun. I will never forget the friends I made, the hard work and time spent on that audit and then being recognized by the wing commander for it."

Interesting personal fact: "I have a great love for math. I have always been good at math and like to take math classes for fun."

Why does Airman Ryder deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Airman Ryder plays a vital role in the force management team. Her professionalism, hard work and initiative ensure the Gunfighters evaluations are processed in a timely manner affecting many crucial aspects of a member's career."
