Senior leaders with the 366th Operations Group recently selected the following individuals as their warriors of the week. The recognition program highlights members of the 366th Fighter Wing who make significant contributions to their unit and the base.

Capt. Casey Richardson

Unit and duty title: 366th Operations Group Executive Officer/F-15E Multi-Ship flight lead

Time in Air Force: Seven years

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: One year and eight months

Hometown: Killeen, Texas

Hobbies: Snowboarding and traveling

What service does Captain Richardson provide to the Gunfighters? "I'm responsible for maintaining mission-ready status to lead flights into both air-to-air and air-to-ground combat missions, including close-air-support, defensive counter-air and air interdiction. As the 366th Operations Group executive officer, I handle the daily personnel issues of more than 350 officers, enlisted and civilians."

Most memorable Air Force moment. "My most memorable moment was while I was deployed on Operation Enduring Freedom. My weapons systems officer and I were flying Thanksgiving day on the wing of the Air Expeditionary Force wing commander. We found ourselves involved in a troops-in-contact situation that required all four of us to do everything right, right now. Because of our actions that day, several of our Army brothers' lives were saved. That was the best holiday I could ever ask for."

Interesting personal fact: "I recently became a proud father of a boy."

Why does Captain Richardson deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Captain Richardson embodies the Air Force core values. As my right hand man, I trust him to maintain a high level of situational awareness and back me on important issues. When his predecessor was tasked on a short-notice, 179-day temporary duty assignment, Captain Richardson selflessly volunteered to fill the executive officer position at no-notice and with minimum handoff. In a short period of time, he has mastered this enormous responsibility as well as his own tactical skills. He is, hands down, one of the best executive officers I've ever seen."
- Col. James McGovern, 366th Operations Group commander

Airman 1st Class Tito Rubio

Unit and duty title: 366th Operations Group knowledge operator

Time in Air Force: Two years and four months

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: Two years

Hometown: Oklahoma City, Okla.

Hobbies: "I work on my car and play video games."

What service does Airman Rubio provide to the Gunfighters? " I provide the 366th Operations Group with knowledge operations technical expertise. I assist with officer performance reports/enlisted performance reports and decoration reviews, ensuring electronic packages are complete and accurate. I also perform daily updates in the Gunfighter unit suspense system to ensure 100 percent accountability and track correspondence through the OG SharePoint page. I am responsible for processing and dissemination of incoming as well as outgoing correspondence and material to six assigned squadrons."

Most memorable Air Force moment. "While at the base exchange on lunch break, a mother had a seizure. My supervisor and first sergeant. rushed to the mother's aide. I called the ambulance while Staff Sgt. Robert Lewis and Master Sgt. Phyllis Tobias took care of her children. We stayed with her until the paramedics arrived and drove her children and mother-in-law to the hospital. I felt good knowing we helped somebody when they needed it the most. We are all an Air Force family and we should take care of each other."

Interesting personal fact: "In 2009, I experienced my first deployment to Kuwait."

"Why does Airman Rubio deserve to be a warrior of the week?" Airman Rubio accepts any task as a challenge and strives to provide outstanding results. His initiative and exceptional work ethic are instrumental in the operations group knowledge operations team getting information processed in an accurate and timely manner."
-Master Sgt. John Sloan, 366th Operations Group knowledge operations superintendent
