What service does TSgt Jackson provide to the Gunfighters? Tech Sgt Jackson maintains and reviews the 366th Fighter Wing Instillation Defense Plan outlining the Defense response for Mountain Home Air Force Base. He confirms and defines all critical assets assigned the wing and prioritizes their criticality for upgraded force protection conditions. He provides a single point of review, publishing, and documentation for all publications from Air Force level to squadron level for the 366th Security Forces Squadron. Additionally, he manages memorandums of understanding/ agreements with agencies such as Idaho State Police, Elmore County Sheriff Department, Idaho Fish and Game, ect. Furthermore, he is assigned as the primary unit operations security monitor, facility manager and emergency operations center representative for the 366th SFS. He was also a key player taking part in and setting up several events during National Police Week 2011 for the local community.

Most memorable Air Force moment:  After relieving the Army on a deployment to Afghanistan we made a series of significant upgrades to the physical security and force protection of the entry control points. We made the entry control points more functional, reducing the required manning, and provided a much safer working environment. Additionally, a colleague and I completed a comprehensive trend analysis of the attacks we were receiving on the installation. We tracked weather conditions, the locations of where the attacks were originating from, and the locations of impact. This data assisted the forward patrols in identifying hot points to routinely recon and significantly reduced attacks against the installation. Shortly after returning home an entry control point was attacked by insurgents with zero US casualties, validating all of the work and upgrades we completed. After hearing of the attack from my deployed Commander I felt a sincere sense of accomplishment and pride in seeing our actions had a direct impact on the sustainability of the installation.

Interesting personal fact: I own a silver Labrador

Why does TSgt Richard Jackson deserve to be a warrior of the week? His above bio says it all. He has a large scope of responsibility up to wing level and completes every task with detail, integrity, enthusiasm, and excellence in all he does! When he speaks of his most memorable experience he says "we" not "I". He is a true team player who puts mission first and lives service before self. He embodies the Air Force Core Values and that's why he is our Warrior of the Week.
