MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- Officials with the 366th Fighter Wing recently named the following personnel as their Warrior of the Week.

What service does SSgt James R. Flanders provide to the Gunfighters?
SSgt Flanders is a paralegal assigned to the General Law section of the Gunfighter legal office. In this capacity, SSgt Flanders drafts legal reviews for Freedom of Information Act requests, off-duty employment requests, base driving revocations and barments, and private organizations fundraising requests. SSgt Flanders also provides legal assistance, processes and formats wills, performs notarial acts and drafts Power of Attorneys. SSgt Flanders also determines claimant eligibility, and examines, investigates, adjudicates, and processes claims for the government.

Most memorable Air Force moment. Please explain why it is memorable? SSgt Flanders graduated as "Top Graduate" with a Maintenance Achievement Award from his previous career field tech schools. It was memorable because it had been a few years since the school house had a Top Graduate and they had a ceremony just for him. It made all the hard work and sacrifices pay off.

Interesting personal fact: SSgt Flanders grew up in a bilingual home. His mother was a Dutch national.

Why does SSgt James Flanders deserve to be a warrior of the week? SSgt Flanders is always willing to help, whether it is during normal duty hours or on the weekend. This past weekend, SSgt Flanders voluntarily came into the office on a Sunday afternoon to draft and notarize two powers of attorney for a fellow Gunfighter imminently departing on an overseas TDY. SSgt Flanders' efforts saved this Gunfighter $110.00 in personal legal fees.

Please explain why it is memorable? He had a great personality, showed a genuine interest in MHAFB and its Airmen, and left a lasting impression!

Why does Yvonne Johnson deserve to be a warrior of the week? Her support of the Wing during ceremonies and DV visits is immeasurable. Her high standard of performance during the Royal Saudi Air Force visit is a testament to her dedication and ability to go above and beyond. Her professionalism was specifically noted by the Saudi delegation and helped establish the foundation for a strategic partnership between our nations
