Inside the spacious and well-lit Wagon Wheel Dinning Facility, employees maneuver about to prepare for the lunch-hour rush.
The primary mission of the DFAC is to provide food service while serving more than 3,000 Airmen per week.

"We provide ground and flight meals to meet flight line mission needs," said Technical Sgt. Reginald Sullivan, 366th Force Support Squadron DFAC manager.

DFAC staff consists of 40 military, 23 contractors and one civilian cook and provide ethnic and specialty meals, such as Mongolian barbeque or steak and lobster.

Special events, such as a quarterly birthday meal, have adequate seating provided for patrons.

"The establishment can sit 165 guests, but Airmen are able to take food from the facility as long as they are in uniform," said Sullivan.

Surrounding the DFAC are the dormitories and other lodging facilities which allows direct access for many customers.

"The DFAC provides healthy meals to more than 545 dorm residents," said Sullivan.
Additionally, the facility staff implemented the Go for Green concept.

This concept gives customers visual identification on healthy meal selections with green meaning consume more frequently, yellow to consume occasionally and red to consume rarely.

One of the more green options is the salad bar.

"We have the best salad bar this side of Boise," said Lt. Col. Kenneth Dewlen, 366th FSS commander.

Distinguished visitors, commanders and first sergeants have a way to interact with their Airmen and noncommissioned officers outside their normal working environment by eating at the Wagon Wheel.

"Groups of people or professional organizations can use the DFAC, if approved by the wing commander," said Sullivan.
