Airman convicted of wrongful use of methamphetamine, oxycodone Published Oct. 10, 2013 By TSgt Joe Woolston 366th Fighter Wing Public Affairs 10/10/2013 -- A Senior Airman was convicted of wrongful use of methamphetamine and oxycodone in violation of Uniform Code of Military Justice Article 112a during a court martial on Oct. 7. She received confinement for 30 days, reduction in rank to E-1 and a bad conduct discharge. "This was an Airman who arrived to duty with controlled substances in her system on more than one occasion," said Capt Lauren K.G. Tschampl, Trial Counsel. "The most current incident was referred to trial, as the Airman's urinalysis specimen contained methamphetamine at the maximum testable level. Additionally, her specimen contained prescription narcotics without medical justification. Trial Counsel sought a Bad Conduct Discharge, as continued drug abuse is considered bad conduct that warrants punishment to include a punitive discharge."
