Press Release: MHAFB readies for change of command

The 366th Fighter Wing will hold a change of command ceremony here at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18.

Col. Christopher Short will relinquish command of the 366th Fighter Wing to Col. David Iverson during the military ceremony held in Hangar 211.

Iverson is currently the director of operations for Headquarters U.S. Forces Japan at Yokota Air Base, Japan, where he is responsible for the planning and execution of joint and bilateral training, exercises and operations with U.S. Forces and the Japan Self Defense Force. Iverson has more than 4,070 hours of total flying time in the F-15E, with 750 of those hours in combat.

Short, whose nomination to brigadier general is pending Senate approval, will become commander of the 57th Wing at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.
