Two thumbs up for Redbox movie rental kiosk at Base Exchange Published Feb. 7, 2014 By Gregg Lindsay Army & Air Force Exchange Service Public Affairs MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- Military families can turn the lights down, the volume up, grab a bag of popcorn and prepare for movie night as the Army & Air Force Exchange Service and Redbox roll out a new way to rent the hottest movies and video games on-base. This service provides military shoppers with an affordable and convenient way to rent DVDs, Blu-Ray Discs and video games in the form of an automated kiosk. The Redbox kiosk is located between the Mountain Home AFB Commissary and Exchange. The service is similar to the kiosk previously located at the Shoppette, but is supplied by Redbox and carries slightly different pricing and rules. Redbox rentals are charged at a daily rate. New releases start at $1.20 for DVDs, $1.50 for Blu-Ray Discs, $2 for video games and new releases are added every Tuesday. Online rentals are available as well. Shoppers can select their favorite movies and games at www.redbox.com and pick them up from the kiosk during the next visit to the Exchange. Returning movies is made even simpler by allowing customers to return movies and video games to any Redbox kiosk location on or off the installation. Kiosks can be found by looking on www.redbox.com or by texting "FIND" to 727272 on a mobile phone. "Movies are a great way to spend time with family or unwind," said the Mountain Home AFB Exchange's General Manager Bonnie Lindahl. "This service will make that quality time even better."
