Col. Michael Ballek, 366th Operations Group commander, and Lt. Col. Carlton Keen, 390th Electronic Combat Squadron commander, stand for a photo at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Wash., in front a VAQ-129 EA-18G Growler painted with the 390th ECS Wild Boar logo. Ballek is visiting the 390th ECS and the Navy Electronic Attack Wing to hold discussions and observe the Air Force and Navy integration process for the electronic attack mission. This was Ballek’s second visit to NAS Whidbey Island since taking command of the 366th Operations Group in August, 2013. “I’m very enthused with the integration process I’ve observed thus far,” Ballek said. “I’m also pleased that the Navy has been great with welcoming our Air Force aviators into the community here. That’s a great testament to the Team Whidbey concept.”
