The sixth annual "Feds Feed Families" Food Drive 2014 Campaign concludes Aug. 31, 2014. In the final week the USDA is again requesting the Department's support of the drive by donating non-perishable items.

The "Feds Feed Families" campaign is a voluntary effort undertaken by Federal employees to bring non-perishable food items to their offices for distribution to local food banks.

During the 2013 food drive was overwhelmingly successful. Food donations across the Federal government totaled nine million pounds of food items. The Department of Defense alone contributed over 1.9 million pounds of food.

All food donated from Mountain Home Air Force Base will contribute to local food banks in Southern Idaho, which in return serves food pantries, senior centers, rescue missions, community kitchens and other feeding programs.

"Feds Feed Families" allows us to showcase how caring and giving our people are and demonstrates our commitment as a Department to helping people in need.

Mountain Home Air Force Base hosts multiple donation drop off locations throughout the base, to include the commissary, Base Exchange, the 366th Medical Group and the Gunfighter Fitness Center.
