Marth 366th Fighter Wing Public Affairs MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- Some truck and large vehicle drivers entering Mountain Home Air Force Base have seen longer delays at the Grand View gate due to improper form submissions by their sponsors. The 366th Security Forces Squadron and the Pass and I.D. office must vet visitors before they can gain access to the base. "The drivers' sponsors need to have their form 30s submitted to the Pass and I.D. office at the visitors control center at least 2 weeks prior to the drivers arrival to base," said Staff Sgt. Daniel Ball, 366th SFS NCO in-charge."That way Pass and I.D. can get their cards issued and we can get traffic flowing and on time." Without prior completion of necessary paperwork, those trying to enter base will experience longer delays particularly at the grand view gate. "It causes delays to not only the construction workers, but also movers for families PCSing and even commissary trucks," Ball said. "Those delays mean things aren't where they need to be, when they need to be." The installation entry process is crucial to keeping base occupants safe. "You can drive around housing where our families live and our kids are running around. We aim to take every precaution to keep them safe," said Master Sgt. Jeremy Hunt, 366th SFS superintendent of plans and programs. "We aren't going to let individuals on base who shouldn't be coming on." A single, easy-to-find form can make the difference in efficiency for more than just the base, and it's only a few clicks away. "We make the form 30 available to everyone," Hunt said. "It can be found on the 366th Security Forces Sharepoint or a physical copy is available at the visitor's center." A five-minute process for a sponsor can save truck drivers hours and keep squadrons running efficiently. For more information please contact the Visitor's control center at (208)-828-6022.
