General Mills is voluntarily recalling several days of production of Yellow Box Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios due to an undeclared wheat allergen. The products are being recalled because of an isolated incident in which wheat flour came into contact with their gluten free oat flour system.

The Mountain Home AFB Public Health office is working with base establishments and has confirmed that our installation's Commissary and Shoppette carries General Mills Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios.

Customers who purchased one of the listed products in the link below should not consume them if they have wheat allergies, celiac disease, or gluten intolerance. Products containing wheat can cause illness or severe reactions for individuals with wheat allergies or celiac disease.  They can also cause illness or discomfort for individuals with gluten intolerance.

Products purchased at the Commissary and Shoppette can be returned for a full refund. For products purchased elsewhere, contact the location of purchase. You may also contact General Mills Consumer Services at 1-800-775-8370.
