Air Force Entertainment brings summer concert to Mountain Home AFB Published Aug. 30, 2022 By Tech. Sgt. Michael Campbelll 366 Fighter Wing MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, ID. -- The Air Force Entertainment rolled into Mountain Home AFB with three bands: We the Kings, Hoobastank and Skillet on Aug. 26, 2022. The concert was a much-anticipated 366th Force Support Squadron sponsored event that gave families and Airmen the opportunity to enjoy the Idaho summer. “The Force Support Squadron jumped at the opportunity to bring Air Force Entertainment and the bands to Mountain Home as it aligned with the Wing's 'People' priority,” Maj. Nathaniel White, 366th Force Support Squadron commander, said. The common message from each band was their sincere appreciation for the military and their families. “Gunfighters and their families apply themselves daily to the mission by having high rates of readiness, responsiveness, and dedication to meeting national defense requirements,” White said. “Investing in people is a primary focus area of the FSS; everything we offer is designed to invest in all the personnel who make being a Gunfighter so special.” The concert stage was set-up on hole one at the golf course, complete with games for kids and food vendors for all families to enjoy. “I enjoyed seeing and hearing the bands I grew up listening too,” Staff Sgt. Arthur Warren, 366th Communications Squadron, knowledge operator, said. “It was good to see all the people enjoying the concert.” It didn’t matter that it was nearly 100 degrees outside, the show went on. With a great turn-out for the concert, everyone seemed to have a blast, from hearing their favorite songs to getting out with family and friends. Rock Fest was just one of the many ways the wing continues to focus on Airmen and their families as much as its readiness capabilities according to White.
