Warrior of the week -- 366th MDOS Published March 29, 2007 MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- Senior leaders with the 366th Medical Operations Squadron recently selected the following individual as one of its warriors of the week. Deborah Glovacki Unit and occupation: 366th Medical Group family care unit staff nurse Time in the Air Force: Five years Time in the civil service: 13 years Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: 20 years Hometown: Lenoir, N.C. What service do you provide to Gunfighters? "I provide primary nursing care for active duty members and dependents during labor and delivery, post-partum and care for their newborns." Hobbies: "Reading, gardening and spending time with my boys" Most memorable Air Force moment: "I have had many wonderful memories here, but I will never forget the first morning after I had arrived on base, and I was unable to get into my car because it was frozen shut. I had to walk to the 'old hospital' in my dress blues in the freezing rain wondering what I was doing here. Yet, here I am 20 years later." Interesting personal fact: "I never imagined that I would join the military and move so far away from home, and that after 20 years I would still be here in Idaho (the Air Force's best-kept secret)." Why does Deborah Glovacki deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Debbie is an absolute treasure. She has worked on the family care unit for the last 12 years. She takes pride in her professional work. She brings smiles, broadens experiences and increases knowledge and skills of fellow med group staff members to provide the best care to our Gunfighter families. She is dependable, energetic and always willing to go the extra mile. She is a first-rate employee. I have nothing but praise for her." -- Capt. Chung M. Lee, family care unit element chief
