Airman 1st Class Samantha Safford

Unit and occupation: 389th Fighter Squadron aviation resource manager

Time in Air Force: Nine months

Time at Mountain Home: Six months

Hometown: Waterloo, Neb.

Hobbies: Playing volleyball, working out, hanging out with friends and watching movies

What service do you provide Gunfighters: "I provide outstanding operations support for the best aircrews in the U.S. Air Force."

Most memorable Air Force moment: When she successfully completed basic military training and her technical training school, "because I finally knew that I was in the Air Force and ready to serve my country."

Interesting personal fact: She has an insatiable appetite for learning and self-improvement.
