Officials with the 372nd Field Training Squadron's Detachment 7 recently named the following person as one of its warriors of the week.

Tech. Sgt. Jeffery E. Wendall

Unit and occupation:
F-16 and F-15 crew chief instructor with the 372nd Field Training Squadron's Detachment 7

Time in the Air Force: 17 years

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: Two years

Hometown: Xenia, Ohio

Hobbies: Supporting the Ohio State Buckeyes football team, coaching youth football, boating, fishing, camping, hunting and riding motorcycles

What service does Tech. Sgt. Jeffery E. Wendall provide to the Gunfighters? "I train the best crew chiefs in the Air Force, helping them develop aircraft system knowledge and maintenance abilities."

Most memorable Air Force moment: Working transit alert at Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., and having the honor of recovering two presidents and one vice president when their jets landed. "As a young senior airman, this experience really showed me that the big guys on top really do think about us little guys. President George Bush [Sr.] gave me a bottle of water when he came back out to get on his plane. That had a big impact on me."

Interesting personal fact: "I made master sergeant this time around [his third time testing]. This was the hardest stripe to make 'test wise' for me."

Why does Tech. Sgt. Jeffery E. Wendall deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Sergeant Wendall is most deserving of recently being selected to master sergeant. He displays outstanding professionalism when he teaches to ensure every student gets the most of class."
