Crane 366th Fighter Wing Public Affairs Office MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- The base theater will host a grand re-opening Jan. 18 with a free movie showing of The Water Horse, rated PG, at 7 p.m. After closing for renovations in September, the interior of the theater was re-done using money won for the 2007 Commander-in-Chief's Annual Award for Installation Excellence to offer Gunfighters a more pleasurable movie-viewing experience. Upgrades include a new screen, acoustic curtains installed on the side and back walls, an updated surround sound system, a refinished stage, improved snack bar, new lighting in the outer lobby and projection room, fresh paint, and 340 larger seats with cup holders. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with special snack combinations available for purchase at the concession stand. Attendees will also have the opportunity to win free prizes before the show.
