Officials with the 366th Maintenance Group recently named the following people as their Warriors of the Week.

Master Sgt. Clarke T. Teruya

Unit and duty title: 366th Maintenance Group administration section chief

Time in Air Force: 22 years

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: 10 years

Hometown: Honolulu, Hawaii

Hobbies: Obeying my wife, shopping for bargains and watching television

What service does Sergeant Teruya provide to the Gunfighters? "I provide a plethora of knowledge and mentorship to fellow 3A0s and my co-workers."

Most memorable Air Force moment: "My first contribution to the Global War on Terrorism and deployment to a combat zone. I remember landing in Afghanistan at night and being rushed off the back of the C-130 onto the tarmac while the C-130 was continuing to taxi. It was a rush, being excited and scared at the same time. It was a feeling I will never forget."

Interesting personal fact: "I used to dance for money ... as a hula dancer."

Why does Sergeant Teruya deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Sergeant Teruya shows great innovation, dedication and tireless enthusiasm every day regardless of any challenges or obstacles in his path. He has pioneered new processes that have greatly reduced paperwork delays and has tackled problems which, at first, seemed unsolvable and produced solutions which had an impact across the entire maintenance group. Sergeant Teruya brings an incredible amount of talent and dedication to the fight and I'm proud to serve with him."
