Officials with the 726th Air Control Squadron recently named the following people as their Warriors of the Week.

Staff Sgt. Adam B. Hillis

Time in Air Force: Four years and nine months

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: Four years and nine months

What service does Sergeant Hillis provide to the Gunfighters? "I instruct and lead more than 350 personnel on resource protection of resources while deployed in support of joint military air operations in any deployed environment. I also act as the consultant to the commander on anti-terrorism and force protection measures, resource protection and site defense security while deployed to protect ground assets so mission essential personnel can control the tactical air space."

Most memorable Air Force moment: "On May 1, my father surprised me by attending my Airman Leadership School graduation. I told him how much information I learned from the course and how I already started applying what I had learned. What made the experience the most memorable was I was awarded the Leadership Award and my father was very proud of me."

Interesting personal fact: "When I was a junior in school, I was almost drafted by the Atlanta Braves, but decided to go to college first."

Why does Sergeant Hillis deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Sergeant Hillis should be the warrior of the week because of the tactical skills and education he teaches to unit personnel tasked with deployments. He performed deployed weapons courier training and responsibilities for protection of resources in route to the area of responsibility."

Why does Sergeant Tsang deserve to be a warrior of the week? "I believe Sergeant Tsang is one of the hardest working technical sergeants in this unit -- he is the first one through the door and the last to depart. As a recent cross-trainee with a medical background and former Army enlisted Soldier, he has stepped up in every way. He has brought a wealth of experience to the operations flight and the squadron as a whole."
