366th MDG names its Warriors of the Week Published June 10, 2008 MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- Officials with the 366th Medical Group recently named the following people as their Warriors of the Week. Capt. Armando L. Cruz Unit and duty title: 366th MDG Health Care Integrator Time in Air Force: Nine years Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: Five years Hometown: Paducah, Texas Hobbies: "I enjoy spending time with friends and family and my hobbies include hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, sport shooting and most things outdoors." What service does Captain Cruz provide to the Gunfighters? "I coordinate and provide many of the top notch disease prevention and health promotion programs that Gunfighters and their families receive through the 366th MDG." Most memorable Air Force moment: "Oct. 29, 2007, when I found out that I had been selected by the Air Force Institute of Technology for an advanced academic degree program. This will allow me to complete a Masters degree and become a family nurse practitioner." Interesting personal fact: "I own and operate an E-Commerce Web site for health and wellness products." Why does Captain Cruz deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Captain Cruz serves with a high degree of dedication and commitment toward excellence in the population health section at the 366th MDG. He has had a tremendous impact on our ability to provide outstanding care and prevention programs to our base population, particularly those with chronic conditions. Hobbies: "I enjoy fly fishing, hunting and watching the Steelers." What service does Mr. Milford provide to the Gunfighters? "As the UTM for the 366th MDG, I am responsible for the overall management of the upgrade, formal and in-house training programs for 400 medical group personnel." Most memorable Air Force moment: "There are many old war stories from the past 20+ years, but the one that stands out the most was on April 6, 2007, the day I ended 22 years of active duty and started my terminal leave status on the way to being retired." Interesting personal fact: "I completed 22 years of active duty as an aircraft weapons loader and never spent any time in Korea. Not many of us can say that." Why does Mr. Milford deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Training of our Airmen is the foundation of mission success. Mr. Milford has, in a very short time, tremendously enhanced our training program and ensured our personnel remain on track in their training requirements and career development.
