366th SFS names its Warrior of the Week Published July 8, 2008 MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- Officials with the 366th Security Forces Squadron recently named the following person as their Warrior of the Week. Senior Airman Corey Powell Unit and duty title: 366th SFS supply technician Time in Air Force: three years and 10 months Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: three years and one month Hometown: Katy, Texas Hobbies: "I like wood and metal working and tinkering with cars. I also enjoy hunting and fishing." What service does Airman Powell provide to the Gunfighters? "He keeps the security forces vehicle fleet up and running, provides fast response to base emergency calls, supplies deploying personnel with necessary equipment to deploy and keeps the fight on terrorism going strong." Most memorable Air Force moment: "It would have to be the bus ride from the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) to basic training. The feeling of doing something important with my life was unforgettable." Interesting personal fact: "I killed my first forked-horn buck at 10 years old." Why does Airman Powell deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Although SrA Powell's duty title indicates supply technician, due to limited security forces manpower Senior Airman Powell also fulfills the unit's Vehicle non-commissioned officer role.
