Airmen center honors graduates

The base's First Term Airmen Center recognized three of its students for outstanding achievement during a graduation ceremony July 3.

Airman John Barrett, 726th Air Control Squadron, received the school's "Sharp Troop" award as the class' top performer while Airman Michael Burkett, 366th Logistics Readiness Squadron, earned the "Razor Sharp" award for outstanding dress and appearance.

Airman 1st Class Edward Venegas, 389th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, was awarded the school's "Gunfighter Pride" award for writing the best essay on what it means to be a first term Airman in today's Air Force.

FTAC serves as the base's inprocessing center for all Airmen reporting here as part of their first duty station following initial military training.
