Officials with the 366th Component Maintenance Squadron recently named the following Airman as their Warrior of the Week.

Senior Airman Kyle Oler

Unit and duty title: 366th CMS electrical and environmental journeyman

Time in Air Force: Three years

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: Two years five months

Hometown: Rockford, Ill.

Hobbies: "I like hockey, rock climbing, wakeboarding and snowboarding, off-roading, golf and tennis."

What service does Airman Oler provide to the Gunfighters? "I troubleshoot, inspect, modify and repair the electrical and environmental system and related back shop components on 72 F-15 aircraft. I also ensure the availability and serviceability of 14 liquid and gaseous oxygen carts and nitrogen servicing carts."

Interesting personal fact: "I'm currently training hard to retrain into the pararescue career field. I have also refereed three Eastern Conference Hockey League games, and I'm actively involved in the Running According to Christ's Example Youth Group at the Base Liberty Chapel."

Most memorable Air Force moment: "Being deployed to Afghanistan was an unforgettable experience. When I got to the desert, I was very proud to be able to serve my country in that kind of way. It was almost like I was relieved to finally be where I wanted to be but at the same time we were in a war zone."

Why does Airman Oler deserve to be a warrior of the week? "From day one, Airman Oler has been an integral part of the electrical and environmental back shop, the Mountain Home AFB team and the community of Mountain Home. He has set the highest standard as an aircraft phased inspection team leader, and has worked with the base honor guard, outdoor recreation and has volunteered his time for squadron functions. He displays a proud heritage and has exemplified the true spirit of the deeper, and often forgotten, mission in which we serve. His countless hours devoted to youth activities have given the youth and future leaders of our country a selfless, diligent role model which to emulate, and the effects of this always positive attitude will stretch far beyond our relatively small community. Airman Oler holds life and his person to the highest standard, both on- and off-duty, and therefore deserves to be our Warrior of the Week."
