366th MDOS names its Warriors of the Week Published Oct. 7, 2008 MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- Officials with the 366th Medical Operations Squadron recently named the following Airmen as their Warriors of the Week. Senior Airman Curtis Peters Unit and duty title: 366th Medical Operations Squadron aerospace medical journeyman Time in Air Force: Two and half years Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: 23 months Hometown: Mount Horeb, Wis. Hobbies: I am pursuing a higher education and like driving my convertible. What service does provide to the Gunfighters? "I provide urgent and emergent care in a pre-hospital and urgent care setting." Most memorable Air Force moment. "Being coined by the 366th Fighter Wing commander." Interesting personal fact: I was originally a firefighter Why does Airman Peters deserve to be a warrior of the week? "I recently arrived to Mountain Home AFB as the NCOIC of the Urgent Care Center; Airman Peters was instrumental in my complete orientation to the Urgent Care Center and its practices as well as the ambulance services. Without the expertise of Airman Peters, the orientation would have taken months instead of weeks." - Tech. Sgt. "I provide healthcare service to Gunfighters and their families in the Pediatric clinic. By doing this, I also help Gunfighters with peace of mind by knowing that their family is taken care of." Most memorable Air Force moment. "My most memorable Air Force moment was in Phase II of clinicals at Travis Air Force Base, Calif. I learned so much in the six weeks I was there and when I came to Mountain Home AFB I felt like I was prepared to do my job to the best of my abilities." Interesting personal fact: "I know a lot of useless trivia." Why does Airman Ortega deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Airman Ortega is truly amazing. He first arrived as a brand new Air Force member and three level. During his tenure at Mountain Home, he has exceeded all expectations and grown to heights that far exceed his peers. He was given the responsibility of learning a new career field but also had to lead the clinic when both NCOs were unexpectedly absent.
