Wing mourns the loss of a Gunfighter Published April 13, 2009 By Staff Sgt. Brian Stives 366th Fighter Wing Public Affairs Office MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- The Gunfighter Team mourns the passing of Ira Beasley. Mr. Beasley passed away April 10 at his home after a short illness. Mr. Beasley, 47, was an electrician by trade in the Air Force and worked at the 366th Civil Engineer Squadron as a shop foreman, light repair superintendent, readiness noncommissioned officer in charge and also served as the 366th CES first sergeant on occasion before his retirement in 2003 as a senior master sergeant. In June of 2004, Mr. Beasley began working again at the 366th CES, this time as a housing construction inspector. Mr. Beasley has served the Gunfighters well, we will miss him. Mr. Beasley leaves behind his wife Margo, three daughters, one step daughter and three grandchildren. A funeral service will be held April 15 at 11:30 a.m. at Rost Funeral Home in Mountain Home with a luncheon following at the American Legion. The flags around base will be flown at half-staff in honor of Mr. Beasley Wednesday.
