Crane 366th Fighter Wing Public Affairs Office MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- The Rattlesnake Chapter of the Military Officers' Association of America is offering two $500 scholarships to high school seniors. The deadline to apply is May 8 with scholarships awarded May 18 at the Mountain Home High School. Any military dependent of an active duty, Guard, Reserve or retired servicemember -- enlisted or officer -- may apply. Applications are available at the Mountain Home High School counseling office. "MOAA is a non-profit organization of active duty, retired and former military officers and their spouses from all branches of the United States military," said Ed O'Reilly, MOAA president. "Our mission is to maintain a strong national defense and to preserve earned entitlements of members of the uniformed services and their families and survivors." The local chapter of MOAA meets on the second Saturday of each month at noon at Carlos' restaurant in Mountain Home.
