726th ACS names its Warriors of the Week Published May 12, 2009 MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- Senior leaders with the 726th Air Control Squadron recently selected the following individuals as their warriors of the week. The recognition program highlights members of the 366th Fighter Wing who make significant contributions to their unit and the base. Staff Sgt. Tawny Crutcher Unit and duty title: 726th Air Control Squadron electronic protection technician Time in Air Force: Five years, three months Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: Five years Hometown: Phoenix Hobbies: Exercising, singing, community volunteering, fishing and four wheeling What service does Sergeant Crutcher provide to the Gunfighters? As an electronic protection technician, she is responsible for ensuring optimal performance levels of the AN/TPS-75 tactical radar set for the command and control element of 366th FW mission training. Most memorable Air Force moment. "Winning the John Levitow Leadership Award at Airman Leadership School. It was very unexpected and humbling to know my classmates and instructors felt I was worthy of this prestige award." Interesting personal fact: "My father-in-law was one half of the 1970s soft rock hit-making machine known as Seals and Crofts. He is Crofts." Why does Sergeant Crutcher deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Sergeant Crutcher is an everyday warrior in every sense of the phrase. She has deployed three times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and once in support of Operation Noble Eagle and homeland defense. He builds, leads, and teaches combat mission ready crews to execute exercises, daily operations and contingency taskings. Most memorable Air Force moment. "My most memorable Air Force moment was my re-enlistment on an AWACS during a mission supporting Operation Southern Watch. This occasion marked my decision to make a career out of serving my country." Interesting personal fact: "I come from a family with strong military ties. My three siblings and I all joined the Armed Forces. Currently, three of us are still serving on active duty." Why does Captain Digsby deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Captain Digsby has dedicated the majority of his career to studying the art of war. He has played an integral part in protecting our country by supporting Operation Southern Watch, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Noble Eagle taskings, and counter-drug operations. Recently, Captain Digsby further expanded his command and control expertise by completing the prestigious USAF Weapons Instructor Course.
