Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce solicits volunteers for appreciation day

MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho --  The Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce is looking for volunteers for the 49th annual Air Force Appreciation Day parade to take place Sept. 12 in downtown Mountain Home.

Volunteers are needed to man the fun run the Friday prior to the parade, help with set up the day of, man the parade or static displays during the event, help serve during the free barbecue on Saturday or run the raffle ticket and information booth.

"There are jobs that will take an hour, a morning, part of an afternoon or part of Friday evening," said Sue Gross, event coordinator. "Everyone has a good time making this huge event happen."

The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. and ends around 12:30 p.m. with a theme of "Honoring Veterans of All Ages and Eras."
