Senior leaders with the 366th Force Support Squadron recently selected the following individuals as their warriors of the week. The recognition program highlights members of the 366th Fighter Wing who make significant contributions to their unit and the base.

Jennifer Gallentine

Unit and duty title: 366th FSS marketing writer and editor

Time in Air Force: One and a half years

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: Five years

Hometown: Connellsville, Pa.

Hobbies: "I enjoy bicycling, reading, writing, fishing, shooting sports and spending time with my family and friends."

What service does Ms. Gallentine provide to the Gunfighters? "As the writer and editor, I organize, design and edit 'FSS Secrets,' which is distributed in the Mountain Home Patriot and around 366th FSS facilities each month. I coordinate with facility managers, flight chiefs and my fellow marketing staff to provide information about what events are happening on base. I also proof and edit all marketing mediums that are produced in our office before they are dispersed into the Gunfighter community. Each month, I organize and print the 'Airman 411' flyer, which is disseminated to every dorm resident on base."

Most memorable Air Force moment. "One of my most memorable Air Force moments occurred at my husband's promotion ceremony as I 'tacked' on his staff sergeant stripe. My heart swelled with pride as I approached him. I reflected on his many accomplishments and felt so honored to support him as he transitioned into the next stage of his career."

Interesting personal fact: "Although I am a grammar fanatic, I speak 'Pittsburghese.'"

Why does Ms. Gallentine deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Jen is an exemplary employee who has a great work ethic. She has a positive attitude in all tasks and challenges that come her way, and our newspaper is a success because of her talent and vision."
-- Lisa Auger, 366th Force Support Squadron marketing director

Tech. Sgt. Amber Robbins

Unit and duty title: 366th FSS force management noncommissioned officer in charge

Time in Air Force: 12 years and one month

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: One year and nine months

Hometown: Marysville, Ohio

Hobbies: "Drawing, watching scary movies and hanging out with my husband and our two children."

What service does Sergeant Robbins provide to the Gunfighters? "I oversee the base evaluations and duty status personnel programs, providing assistance for all evaluation reports and 100 percent accountability to the wing."

Most memorable Air Force moment. "My most memorable Air Force moment was on Memorial Day 2003; I was forward deployed to Baghdad International Airport (BIAP), Iraq, right after Staff Sgt. Scott Sather was killed. My new commander was Col. Ronald L. Watkins (he had worked with Sergeant Sather at Pope AFB, N.C., and on this deployment). On Memorial Day, Colonel Watkins gave a speech about the ultimate sacrifice and what an honor it was for him to work with a man like Scott even though some Americans don't see our actions as courageous. He said he was proud to work a long side each of us and witnessed firsthand what it means to give one's life to his country. After hearing this speech, I made the decision to reenlist and realized that there was nothing else in the world that I would rather be doing than fighting for my country and defending her."

Interesting personal fact: "I was the first personnelist to 'bring up' BIAP and the first personnelist to 'bring up' Air Forces Africa. My nickname is 'Baghdad Barbie.'"

Why does Sergeant Robbins deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Sergeant Robbins plays a vital role on the force management team in daily operations and in the Air Force at large. After deploying to Djibouti, Africa, she quickly mastered the evaluations section and cut 50 percent of evaluation discrepancies. Additionally, she proudly mentors 10 Airmen and initiated an Air Force conduct briefing during weekly roll calls. She is doing an outstanding job and her admirable character and confidence have provided inspiration, a slipstream into which her Airmen can follow."
-- 2nd Lt. Craig M. Buehrig, 366th Force Support Squadron force management chief
