366th CMS names its warrior of the week Published Aug. 25, 2009 MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- Senior leaders with the 366th Component Maintenance Squadron recently selected the following individual as their warrior of the week. The recognition program highlights members of the 366th Fighter Wing who make significant contributions to their unit and the base. Staff Sgt. Stephanie Hardy Unit and duty title: 366th Component Maintenance Squadron electrical and environmental systems craftsman Time in Air Force: Seven years and five months Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: Two years Hometown: Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands Hobbies: "Working out, spending time with my family, drawing and painting." What service does Sergeant Hardy provide to the Gunfighters? Sergeant Hardy troubleshoots, inspects, modifies and repairs the electrical and environmental systems and related back shop components on 72 F-15 aircraft. She also ensures the availability and serviceability of 14 liquid and gaseous oxygen carts and nitrogen servicing carts. Most memorable Air Force moment. "The most memorable moment for me was my recent deployment to Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan. Although I've been deployed and on temporary duty assignments multiple times, this was my first time away from my family and newborn daughter. I felt the deployment allowed me to further my personal and professional growth and see exactly how my work affects the mission. The support we received and pride displayed by the other countries militaries and all the branches of service while there was absolutely unbelievable. The experience as a whole was very emotional and powerful. I can't wait to do it again." Interesting personal fact: "I was raised on an island only three miles long and half a mile wide." Why does Sergeant Hardy deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Sergeant Hardy sets the example for all supervisors to emulate whether it's developing future leaders or holding herself to the highest standards. Her technical expertise and outstanding leadership were on display when she discovered an aircraft generator harness with major wire chafing. Her findings drove an inspection of all 366th FW aircraft, which identified 50 more damaged harnesses. She led an eight person team through the weekend to repair the harnesses ensuring no lost sorties on Monday. Sergeant Hardy's actions highlighted and resolved an Air Force wide F-15 issue. Sergeant Hardy is a true professional 24/7, and that is why she deserves to be Warrior of the Week." - Maj. Jeremy Anderson, 366th CMS commander
