Civilian commander's support staff positions available at Mountain Home AFB

Recently, the Air Force made a decision to fund 1,200 new civilian positions for squadron technical support, of these positions, 13 are at Mountain Home.

The positions were created in response to concerns about additional duties continuing to be levied on squadrons at a time when commander's support staffs were being dissolved.

"The Air Force heard the concerns loud and clear and aggressively worked to include this programming decision that will mitigate some of these concerns," said Dustin Erpelding, 366th Force Support Squadron civilian personnel officer.

Squadrons who have 50 or more funded positions received a CSS authorization. The initial internal announcement for the CSS positions was announced by the Air Force Personnel Center in the month of July 2009, and a second internal announcement will be posted in September 2009.

Interested internal applicants should check the internal AFPC Web site to see if the position has posted and apply if applicable. External applicants should click here to visit USA JOBS to apply.
