Overseas “EQUAL” listing advertised in AMS now

MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- The Overseas Enlisted Quarterly Assignment Listing or "EQUAL" is advertised in AMS now.

Career Airmen who have been on station two years are eligible for an overseas assignment.

First Term Airmen are eligible for an overseas assignment after one year Time on Station.

Join-Spouse can also PCS after one year TOS.

To view the listing, login to the assignment management system and scroll over Enlisted Assignments, Assignment Lists, then click EQUAL Overseas. View the available choices by selecting your rank and AFSC.

Notice the vulnerability dates for selection as a non-volunteer. Airmen who meet the criteria can volunteer for an assignment of their choice instead of waiting for an assignment they may not want.

Base preferences must be updated on "Dream Sheets" by Nov. 19 to be considered for voluntary selection for an assignment with a report date of July - Sept. 2010.

Assignments selections will be made around mid-December.

Remember, Airmen with a short tour anywhere on their list of one to eight choices will be considered first, even if it is the eighth choice.

In order to maximize your chances of getting an overseas assignment select "extended long" from the drop down boxes when available.
