The Mountain Home Commissary names its warriors of the week

Senior leaders with the Mountain Home Commissary recently selected the following individuals as their warriors of the week. The recognition program highlights members of the 366th Fighter Wing who make significant contributions to their unit and the base.

Lorna Heinen

Unit and duty title: Defense Commissary Agency produce department general manager

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: 14 years

Hometown: Aklan, Philippines

Hobbies: Golf

What service does Lorna Heinen provide to the Gunfighters? Higher standard product quality and big savings to all Gunfighter personnel.

Most memorable Air Force moment. Being awarded a DeCA coin from Mr. Keith Hagenbuch,acting director of DeCA West.

Interesting personal fact: I met my husband during his tour at Andersen AFB, Guam.

Why does Lorna Heinen deserve to be a warrior of the week? Lorna has been with the Mountain Home Commissary for more than four years, in that time she has demonstrated a high degree of professionalism and exemplifies the term "team player." During the past year, she has filled in as acting produce manger, even though she is a store associate. Her time as acting produce manager has been beyond reproach, maintaining the produce department's quality, cleanliness, and accountability beyond all expectations.

Mickela Perryman

Unit and duty title: Defense Commissary Agency acting grocery manager

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: 16 years

Hometown: I really do not have one - I was born into a military family and also married a military member.

Hobbies: Collecting Americana memorabilia

What service does Mrs. Perryman provide to the Gunfighters? She ensures the grocery department at the commissary is stocked and items wanted or needed are available to our patrons.

Most memorable Air Force moment. I have been given the opportunity to work in several areas of the commissary and able to learn many aspects of the organization.

Interesting personal fact: My husband and I are both military brats and met at Minot N.D.

Why does Mickela Perryman deserve to be a warrior of the week? Mrs. Perryman has worked at the Mountain Home Commissary for six years. During this time she has worked in several departments and has demonstrated a serious commitment to not only doing a fantastic job, but her outstanding efforts in support of our patrons and the Mountain Home community is what makes her a "Warrior of the Week."
