Senior leaders with the 366th Maintenance Group recently selected the following individuals as their warriors of the week. The recognition program highlights members of the 366th Fighter Wing who make significant contributions to their unit and the base.

Senior Airman Donald Jackson

Unit and duty title: 366th Equipment Maintenance Squadron crew chief

Time in Air Force: Four years

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: One year

Hometown: Mud Lake, Idaho

Hobbies: Hunting, fishing and restoring old cars

What service does Airman Jackson provide to the Gunfighters? "I am an F-15 crew chief in the AFSO21 newly developed, Strike-21 avionics program. He provides the highest quality of aircraft maintenance, thereby increasing the Gunfighters ability to meet aircrew training needs and conduct operations in combat zones."

Most memorable Air Force moment: "While working in the 492nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at RAF Lakenheath during a sortie surge we were able to fly 175 sorties in four days without missing a single sortie. It was memorable to me because it showed me as a young Airman all the hard work, dedication and teamwork it took from everyone to accomplish the mission presented to us."

Interesting personal fact: "My great-grandfather started the tradition of serving in the U.S. military so he, my grandfather, my father and now I, have served in the protection of our country."

Why does Airman Jackson deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Airman Jackson's experience as a top rate crew chief is ideal for the Strike-21 Electronic Warfare enhancement program. His superb attention to detail has resolved many problems averting additional aircraft down time. Additionally, his keen eye has been instrumental in recovering several foreign object pieces, which prevented potential aircraft damage and loss of life."

- Master Sgt. Scott LaBuda, Strike-21 NCOIC

Tech. Sgt. Brian Pedersen

Unit and duty title: 366th Component Maintenance Squadron jet engine intermediate maintenance production supervisor

Time in Air Force: 14 and a half years

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: Three years

Hometown: Loveland, Colo.

Hobbies: Spending time with family and cooking

What service does Sergeant Pedersen provide to the Gunfighters? "I ensure the 366th Fighter Wing has ample war ready F100-220/229 engines to take us directly to the fight."

Most memorable Air Force moment: "The time I spent at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., being part of and contributing to the test and evaluation of the latest and greatest technology. Knowing the systems being tested and approved were going to be used in combat to help those fighting on the ground."

Interesting personal fact: "I climbed one of Colorado's highest peaks. Longs Peak at 14,255 feet, what a moment!"

Why does Sergeant Pedersen deserve to be a warrior of the week? "Sergeant Pedersen is an outstanding engine technician and the epitome of professionalism. Filling the role of a master sergeant, he continually puts forth the extra effort, working extended shifts to get the job done. Recently, his leadership was a key factor in the production of four F100-229 engines in an eight day period that eliminated an aircraft hole and provided the wing with three war ready spares; the only F100-229 spares in the combat air forces."

- Master Sgt. Edward Ladue, 366th CMS JEIM section chief
