The 390th Fighter Squadron names its warriors of the week

MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho --  Senior leaders with the 390th Fighter Squadron recently selected the following individuals as their warriors of the week. The recognition program highlights members of the 366th Fighter Wing who make significant contributions to their unit and the base.

Capt. Jonathan O'Rear

Unit and duty title: 390th FS electronic combat pilot, joint interface control officer

Time in the Air Force: Six years and 10 months

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: Three years, five months

Hometown : Denver, Colo.

Hobbies: Traveling, snowboarding and reading

What service does Captain O'Rear provide to the Gunfighters? "I am the Joint Interface Control Officer and I coordinate and enables link-16 operability for the squadron."
Most memorable Air Force moment. "My most memorable moment was Gunfighter Skies 2008. We had a chance to share our capabilities with the public."

Interesting personal fact: "In my previous life, I was a professional blimp folder."

Why does Captain O'Rear derserves to be a warrior of the week? "Capt. O'Rear is a tremendous asset to the squadron. On the ground, he works tirelessly to ensure the squadron is tactically sound by serving as the Assistant Chief of Weapons. In the air, he exhibits strong tactical ability and will leave the squadron as a first assignment instructor pilot."

Senior Airman DianaJean Torres

Unit and duty title: 390th FS knowledge operator

Time in the Air Force: Three years and three months

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: Three years and three months

Hometown: Mangilao, Guam

Hobbies: Interior decorating and designing, cooking, traveling and exploring exotic
countries, watch movies, camping, water sports and collecting souvenirs

What service does Airman Torres provide to the Gunfighters? "I support 24 personnel in the 390th FS. I'm responsible for the squadron's sponsor, urinalysis, Weighted Airmen Promotion System, track operations group suspenses, and assist with the officer and enlisted performance reports and decorations program."

Most memorable Air Force moment. "My most memorable moment would be graduating from basic training. I felt like I accomplished something great in my life."
Interesting personal fact: "I reenlisted into the Air Force for another four years."

Why does Airman Torres deserves to be a warrior of the week? "Airman Torres is a vital part of the mission in the 390th Fighter Squadron. She enables pilots to focus on the mission by tracking all administrative suspenses. Airman Torres handles all computer issues in the squadron ensuring smooth day to day operations."
