Gunfighter awarded NAIMES Student Spotlight Award

This award is given to active duty servicemembers whose collegiate work demonstrates scholarly excellence while engaged in the Voluntary Education program of the Armed Forces.

A Gunfighter from the 366th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron has been selected as a recipient of the 2010 National Association of Institutions for Military Education Services Student Spotlight Award.

First Lt. Christina Prejean was awarded $1,200 by NAIMES ad co-sponsor MBS Direct, LLC.

This year, applicants addressed the theme of: "How Your Goals for Higher Education Enhance Your Service's Mission in Meeting its Objectives."

Congratulations to United States Air Force 1st Lieutenant, Christina Prejean and United States Air Force Staff Sergeant Alicia Newman, for being selected as recipients of the 2010 NAIMES Student Spotlight Award.

First Lieutenant Prejean is stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho where she is a Force Support Officer. She just embarked on a six month deployment to Afghanistan where she will serve as a Protocol Officer. First Lieutenant Prejean is a graduate student with the University of Oklahoma where she is pursuing a master of Public Administration degree.
