Colonel Ron Buckley, 366th Fighter Wing Commander, has presented the "Air Force Assistance Fund Gunfighter Challenge" to all Gunfighters as a way to generate participation in the AFAF campaign.

The AFAF is a program held annually in an effort to raise funds for the charitable affiliates that provide support for Air Force families in need.

The organizations associated with this program are the Air Force Villages, Air Force Aid Society, the General Curtis LeMay Foundation and the Air Force Enlisted Village. These organizations help Air Force members with aid in an emergency, educational needs, or secure a retirement home for widows or widowers of Air Force members in need of financial assistance.

"The AFAF campaign is coming to a close in just two short weeks, and we have not yet reached our financial goal of $66,000," said Col. Buckley. "I want to offer up to you a Gunfighter Challenge - to those who have the availability to donate - I ask that you donate $3.66 for the next 3 months."

The current AFAF campaign ends April 28.

"If all Gunfighters collectively meet this challenge, the wing will meet its goal," said Col. Buckley. "All donations help our fellow Airmen and their families."
