Base elementary school holds annual carnival Published April 25, 2011 By Senior Airman Alyssa C. Wallace 366th Fighter Wing Public Affairs MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- More than 400 Gunfighters attended Liberty Elementary School's annual Base Primary Carnival here recently. Patrons purchased tickets to gain access to the carnival's featured events, including a bean bag toss, miniature golf, a fun shop and a duck pond. The tickets were also used to raffle various items donated by businesses in Mountain Home and Boise, Idaho. All raised funds will be used to buy various items the school may need throughout the school year. Morgan Pelkey, kindergarten teacher and event volunteer, was happy to see the children have fun together outside of the classroom environment. "It was tons of fun," she said. "I like seeing all the kids I teach, and it's good that the kids get a good clean day of fun and they can hang out with their friends." First-grader Keara Connolly, daughter of 366th Medical Group Commander Col. Kevin Connolly, said it was fun seeing her friends at the carnival, and was excited about her sister winning a prize through the raffle.
