RSAF appoints new senior officer

The Republic of Singapore air force held a change of appointment ceremony here April 15.

Lt. Col. Linus Tan Jin Kiat assumed the position of the new Senior RSAF Officer of the 428th Fighter Squadron's Peace Carvin V Detachment from previous SRO, Lt. Col. Tommy Tan.

The witnessing officer for the ceremony was Col. Kyle W. Robinson, 366th Operations Group commander.

"It is always great to be associated with the 428th," Colonel Robinson said. "It was a great chance for the 366th to observe a Singaporean military ceremony and the precision with which it was executed."

The 428th FS commander, Lt. Col. Michael R. Quintini, is looking forward to working with Colonel Linus.

"Col. Linus will be an absolute asset to the Peace Carvin V program," said Quintini. While the commander looks forward to the continued cooperation between the two staffs; he stated he will miss the outgoing SRO.

"Lt. Col. Tommy Tan is one of the most skilled officers that I have had the pleasure to work with," said Col. Quintini. "I will miss him."

Approximately 190 members of the 428 FS participated in the ceremony and a parade that was attended by members of the 366th Fighter Wing.
