The MHAFB Officers' Spouses' Club hosted ITS 3rd Annual Bunco Benefit for Breast Cancer on Oct. 14. More than 90 bunco players were in attendance for this worthy cause, which included silent auction items, donations and drawings. The event raised more than $3,800 to help fight breast cancer.

One thousand dollars from the OSC's Welfare Breast Cancer Reserve Fund was donated to St. Luke's Health Foundation, accepted by Monica Hoffer. This donation directly funds the free mobile mammogram program for underprivileged or low-income members in the local and surrounding community.

The MHAFB OSC has a surplus balance in this year's Breast Cancer Fund that put aside to help families struggling with breast cancer. Money is designated to help Department of Defense employees and retirees with extraneous expenses in relation to breast cancer treatment.

The OSC can assist in funding diagnostic breast imaging procedures, the purchase of wigs or travel expenses associated with doctor appointments. The president of the OSC or the chairperson for the bunco event would like to be contacted if there is a need within the military community.

To petition for funds, contact the MHAFB OSC at www.mountainhome.af.mil/osc or mail requests and contact information to MHAFB OSC, P.O. Box 4064, Mountain Home AFB, Idaho 83648.
