Unit and duty title: 366th Surgical Operations Squadron's flight commander of Diagnostic Imaging and Diagnostic Radiologist

Time in Air Force: 12.5 years

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: 6 months

What service does Maj. Johnston provide to the Gunfighters? Imaging services at the Medical Group, including x-rays, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), mammography, image guided biopsies/procedures.

Most memorable Air Force moment: Serving as flight surgeon for three years for helicopter search and rescue operations based out of Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana. This was a unique assignment as I had the great opportunity of not only flying on the missions over some of the most beautiful countryside ever, but also being lowered on the hoist from the helicopter to pick up and treat survivors.

Interesting personal fact: Reluctant devotee of all things Disney and Pixar Cars, Thomas the Tank Engine, Disney Princesses, the Wiggles, Star Wars, etc.

Why does Maj. Johnston deserve to be a warrior of the week? Maj Johnston is the epitome of customer service and "excellence in all we do." He is truly dedicated--to not only our patients--but to the physicians, nurse practitioners and physician's assistants he works with everyday. (He even reads x-rays in the middle of the night from his house for Urgent Care Center patients!)

Candidate's rank and name: Staff Sgt. Micha K. Moeller

Unit and duty title: 366th Surgical Operations Squadron Aerospace Medical Service Technician

Time in Air Force: 5 years

Time at Mountain Home Air Force Base: 5 months

Hometown: I was born in Columbus, Ohio, but I am an Air Force brat

Hobbies: Extreme sports and outdoor adventures

What service does Staff Sgt. Moeller provide to the Gunfighters? I work as an aide to nurses and doctors during the delivery of infants and provide newborn care. I also assist in the care and recovery of medical-surgical patients.

Most memorable Air Force moment: My most memorable moment in the Air Force is not one of saving lives, or dodging bullets down range, it's a little more simple, the moment I realized the effect that just wearing this uniform can have. When I was in technical school I volunteered to attend a college football game in San Angelo, Texas. There must have been well over 200 new Airman there, and before the game we all formed up and marched onto the field representing the Air Force while the Star Spangled Banner was sung. At the time I thought it was great just to be at a football game, but as the massive flight came to attention and marched off the field onto the surrounding track there were veterans taking their hats off and saluting the flight, little children with their mothers and fathers standing still as we passed with their hands over their hearts all starring at us and thanking us. All we had done was walk across a football field. We were all brand new Airmen, but that didn't matter to these people, the uniform said it all. At that moment I was truly proud to call myself an Airman of the United States Air Force.

Interesting personal fact: I went bungee jumping at age 16 on the Las Vegas Strip to win a bet!

Why does Staff Sgt. Moeller deserve to be a warrior of the week?
Staff Sgt. Moeller was selected because of her expertise and can-do attitude. She's an incredible technician and recently completed her CCAF Degree. SSgt Moeller's work ethic is remarkable in the Inpatient Operations Flight and has quickly become the go-to person to manage the inpatient unit when the noncommissioned officer-in-charge is not present. She is a great asset to our Air Force Family.
