The 366th Mission Support Group welcomed a new commander during a ceremony here June 22.

Col. Steven Griswold assumed command of the 366th MSG from Col. Scott Moser at Holt Park in front of spectators that included family, friends and local community leaders.

"While Colonel Moser's departure leaves big shoes to fill, Colonel Griswold comes to us today with the talent and experience to succeed in this challenging billet," said Col. Christopher Short, 366th Fighter Wing commander.

Moser, the outgoing commander, praised Griswold's accomplishments.

"I'm confident he is ready to lead this group on to even greater achievements. His experience and skills are the right match for the greatest Mission Support Group in the Air Force."

Griswold appreciated the opportunity to lead the MSG and promised to always do what is right for the Gunfighter community.

"I pledge to all Gunfighters that we will do what is right for the Gunfighter Mission."

As commander, Griswold provides administrative, security, communications, services, logistics readiness, infrastructure support and development for all the 366th Fighter Wing personnel. He commands a group of more than 2,400 military, civilian and contract personnel and manages more than $540 million in assets.
